0354 this morning our units along with Rising Sun, Perryville, Darlington, Robert Fulton and a CCDES medic were alerted for a house on fire on Canal Rd. Chief 7 arrived to find fire showing from the single family home. Engine 7 arrived next with the crew deploying a hose line to start extinguishing the flames. As other units arrived they assisted with extinguishment, opening up and water supply. The fire was placed under control within 30 min. Last unit cleared the scene around 0730. The cause is being investigated by Deputies with the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal. Chief 7 (Bannon) held the command.
